Q: How does Brand-Box™ work?

A: Brand-Box™ uses a Postscript-based template that allows individual users to make changes to text, graphics and images via a web interface. Results of these changes are then rendered to the web browser where users can make additional changes or complete the ordering process. The customized files are then output by the system in a variety of formats depending on the end use. Printed output is rendered as Postscript and output on our own production-level digital presses. Output destined for advertisements is rendered as print-optimized, high-resolution PDF files and either burned to CD-ROM and sent to the publication or compressed, emailed or posted for pickup via the Internet.

Q: What design elements can be made customizable?

A: With the right template design, almost anything is customizable. Long blocks of text, high-resolution photographs and graphic elements like logos or charts can all be made customizable within a template.

Q: What file format are electronic Brand-Box™ files delivered in?

Q: How does the customization and ordering process work?

A: Individual users are presented with a secure online catalog of available materials from which they can click individual items to order or even use a shopping cart to order multiple items at once. Each item selected presents the user with various text fields, pull-down menus or buttons with which they can make their customizations. An online proof is rendered to the screen and once approved, the user is presented with an ordering interface to select quantities, delivery locations, etc. Once the order form is submitted, the user receives a confirmation number on-screen as well as a confirmation email showing the order detail.

Q: Does Brand-Box™ offer design services as well?

Q: What are the costs?

A: Our pricing structure is as follows: $150 setup fee per item placed online. Items may then be customized and ordered on a per item cost basis plus an ordering and fulfillment fee depending on the items ordered. Design work and more significant template engineering is available at an additional cost.

Q: How are items printed?
A: Brand-Box™ maintains a full-service print-on-demand facility on -site in our downtown Minneapolis location. This facility is equipped to handle most projects, including common bindery needs. Large orders, where digital printing is not economical, are easily fulfilled by our traditional print vendor partners making Brand-Box™ the ideal solution for all printing needs.

Q: What is the turnaround time for print-on-demand orders?

A: Typical turnaround time is 6 business days from order placement to receipt of finished product. Faster turnaround times are possible for additional shipping fees.

Q: How am I billed?

A: We currently bill only to clients who have established credit with Brand-Box.™ Future enhancements to the service will include the ability to accept and complete credit card transactions online.

A: Brand-Box™ is able to handle your needs no matter what they are. We can design templates from scratch or accept your non customized marketing materials and inject customizable elements where needed.
